A Chat With... We're No Heroes

I knew I was going to thoroughly enjoy this interview when, upon sending an interview request, the email I had back was signed off with the 'Ok hand' emoji. This initial instinct was confirmed after reading the answers which were sent back to me and made me smile just as much as their music. Welcome... We're No Heroes

The feel good vibes and positivity which shine though their music is enough to cheer up anybody's bad day and is the perfect soundtrack to the summer. The energy and funk radiated through their music is just so fun and enjoyable to listen to. Imagine if all the colours of the rainbow were packed into a song- their music is that song!

As I mentioned earlier, the answers to the interview are blooming marvelous! It's pretty much exactly what I want from an interview. I want people to be comfortable enough on this blog using phrases like 'a bit shit' and describe their music as ' that shimmer you see on the ocean when the sun shines down'.

• Introduce yourselves in 5 words

"We are not Bon Jovi"

• What are you hopes for the band in the next month? In the next year?

"We're about to release a new single & music video named Voodoo on July 31st so get it. Beyond that we're gigging a lot and making more and more music."

• What have been the best and worst moments of your music career so far?

"Recognition is always nice so receiving national & world wide radio play for the first time was a highlight for us. There's been many a dank day too...let's not talk about those."

• What keeps you motivated to keep creating music?

"The boy and girls and everyone in between that show is the constant love for our tunes and really get what we're doing. That's why it's important you let us know when we're doing well and when we're doing a bit shit."

• Is the music you listen to reflected at all in your songs?

"Most definitely. We're all about the groove, the beat and the funk. This courses through the veins of all we do and all we listen to. We go on and list a load of great music but we'd rather you listen deep down to us and see what you think!"

• New single, what can we expect?

"If you're internet savvy you can find it right now before its release but if you're yet to hear it you can expect a piece of music that resembles that shimmer you see on the ocean when the sun shines down on it and all is well at noon on a hot day cut with a slight edge of madness and uncertainty."
