Chaos and the Calm- Review

I've got a lovely review for you today. This week, Chaos and the Calm by the lovely James Bay was released and I could not contain my excitement. I must have set around 5/6 alarms on my phone just to make sure that I was definitely awake when the album was finally released.. Obviously, it didn't disappoint and I wish to share with you my most favourite parts of it.

I initially fell in love with James Bay after hearing Scars for the first time as, in my opinion, it is one of the most beautifully sung songs, I think I have every heard. It begins so dainty and delicately but becomes so gritty and ever so slightly belty towards the end. So when I saw that this song was to be on the album, I was, of course, instantly gripped

A few of the songs were available to download early- including Scars and If You Ever Want To Be In Love- so I've already fallen madly in love with those. But the two others I heard for the first time which have me hooked are Best Fake Smile and Move Together. Both are very much different from one another but equally as great. Best Fake Smile is more rocky and the one I really enjoy jumping around my room too whereas Move Together makes me want to cuddle up in bed and feel all emotional (in the best way)

The whole album however, is just wonderful. Normally, even with the best records, there's always at least one song that doesn't quite float my boat but I've not yet found one! I will of course let you know if I do, but I honestly don't believe I will do anytime soon.

I read yesterday that he's on course for Number 1 on Sunday which, considering it's his debut album, is absolutely incredible. I for sure, will be supporting him during the Official Chart- as I think you should be doing too!

I hope this inspires you to go get the album, or even just check out some of the songs online because I can guarantee you will not be disappointed

Cheerio! Xxx
