I'm sure all Disney 'fans' can relate when I say the words "but is that not a kids film?" or "aren't you too old to be watching that?". Why are we limiting who can watch some of the most wonderful stories ever told, based on age? I don't believe age has any impact on the enjoyment you have of a film- both my 2 year old cousin and I absolutely adore Finding Nemo, but for very different reasons. Being 2, she doesn't really know what's going on but finds the colours so captivating and is truly intrigued by them. Whereas I love the story and the humor that you don't realize is there as a child. We both adore the film, but for completely different reasons and that's completely fine.
The, not necessarily 'hidden' messages, but quirks that you don't quite pick up on as a child, are just as hilarious and magical as the more obvious dance routines and sing-a-long songs. Plus, if you ever do get the oppurtinity to visit any of the Disney parks, no one discriminates against your age there...
Let me know your most magical Disney memories and whether you agree or disagree that you're never too old for a Disney film
Cheerio! Xxx

ReplyDeleteYES! Amazing <3 I think my top 5 films of all time are all Disney films ^.^
DeleteNever ever too old for Disney. I enjoy rewatching older films as an adult because you understand different jokes that were meant for the parents to get. :]
