Saying "No"

Before I begin, I just want to quickly say thank you for the lovely comments about my Disney post last week- I know they're not always everyone's cup of tea so it really does make me smile when y'all say nice things. So the biggest thank you to every single one of you! Right, more serious again today- it's about saying no. And not always expecting "yes" as an answer.

Chaos and the Calm- Review

I've got a lovely review for you today. This week, Chaos and the Calm by the lovely James Bay was released and I could not contain my excitement. I must have set around 5/6 alarms on my phone just to make sure that I was definitely awake when the album was finally released.. Obviously, it didn't disappoint and I wish to share with you my most favourite parts of it.

Disney Films!

I did a similar post to this when I first started my blog, where I wrote about my favourite Disney Films. And I'd quite like to do one again, if you're keen? I've done a few serious posts lately and I think we all just need a bit of lighthearted, Disney magic to put us all at ease. Plus Tom, Gi and Carrie Hope Fletcher have all been discussing their top Disney films during a few 'Dear Tom/Gi/Carrie' videos so I thought I'd join in the fun!

Pas de Deux

Today's post was supposed to be about underrated album tracks but, after hearing Dodie Clark's original song "Pas de Deux", I couldn't not write about it!

The Internet

As you may have gathered, by the fact I've not shut up about it, our WiFi is broken. I'm not one of those people who can't live without the internet- often we go to the countryside for walks and pubs and out in the wilderness of Yorkshire, the internet does not exist and I cope fine. But I've massively noticed, now that I don't have easy internet access, how much other people rely on me having the internet. And this really sucks...

Another Playlist...

Once again, this post is brought to you via atrocious internet connection and the joy of scheduled uploading... Thank you for being so patient with me whilst the internet is rubbish! I know these posts are shorter than normal but I promise- there is nothing I can do about it. We have rung the company (who I shan't name out of politeness) countless times and they really are not responding. I think I'll write a rant-y post for Monday about the whole situation because it really is quite unbelievable how ignorant a company can be, but for now, I'll stick to a short, sweet playlist of songs I've been loving driving to lately- I hope that will do until I
can actually access this blog from my writing desk...

Decisions and Influences

This is going to have to be a real short post today which I'm very sorry about. We're having the internet changed in our house, meaning there is no wifi- therefore, in order to get this post up, I've had to do a 40 minute run (hi-vis and everything) to a darling family member's house in order to use theirs and I want to get home before it gets dark. I guess really, I just wanted to have a quick chat with you about college/uni and growing up because you have to make lots of choices in your teen years and I know how daunting it can be to feel like your going into it, completely alone.

Thanks Zane

Last night was a very sad night. One of my biggest radio inspirations and the person who's show calms me down after a tough day, left Radio 1 after 12 years. Known for his passion for music, iconic interviews and talent in discovering new music, Zane Lowe's been a hero of mine for as long as I can remember and it was so tough to see him finally go.

Change... and How Not To Deal With It

I don't like change. Anything different to my normal schedule makes me feel rather uneasy and uncomfortable and I'm just not too great at handling it. Lately though things have been changing and I've realized, there really isn't any way of dealing with them other than just getting on with it.
