Freedom!

Finally, after months of sleep deprivation, multiple breakdowns and an uncountable number of packs of toffees, A levels are over. 3:30pm this afternoon, my black pen wrote the final half-equation it's, hopefully, ever going to write and the wave of exhaustion smacked me right across my face. Some people tend to either claim to not revise, or really shy away from telling others to what extent they truly tried for their exams, which I don't really understand. I guess it's not seen as a "cool" thing to do but, in 10 years time, when you're earning triple their salary, what's "cool" then?

I tried hard for my exams- I stressed myself out silly. Don't get me wrong, I'm not the brightest bulb in the box, but my brain seems to think it can do much more than it's actually capable of- meaning something as petty as one bad mock paper, or an incorrect verb conjugation sends it into absolute overdrive. I'm comfortable admitting that, during revision months, I did really badly on a practice paper. By bad I mean 20% lower than the absolute minimum grade I need. So, instead of asking for help or dealing with that calmly, I turned my phone off for 5 days straight, set my alarm for 6:00am and worked from 6:30am-10;00pm for 5 days. I practically ignored my friends, family and personal hygiene for 5 days- but hey, I got good. I don't recommend doing this, it turns you insane- thankfully I haven't gone that mad since ^.^

They're over now though- praise all the lords. First thing I did when I got home? I lay on my bed with a cup of tea, completely guilt free. You'll know this feeling if you're anything like me- no matter how much work you've done that day, no matter what time you got up to start revision, when you sit down at night, you're filled with this guilt. It's almost like, subconsciously, you think you've not done enough. This 10 minutes you're about to spend unwinding, could be put to much better use. Ring a bell?

I guess, for you guys, the best thing to come out of this post is that I can put 100% back into these posts. I'm going to try and organize a few interviews for Music Friday posts. If you have a favourite group/artist that you'd like me to contact, leave who they are and any questions you'd love to ask them in the comments.

Good luck if you still have exams going on- don't give up just yet

Cheerio! Xxx
